We are very lucky to live in a beautiful village with a large number of quite outstanding places to eat.
The Royal Oak
Our guests just love our cosy village pub. Relaxed, sometimes chaotic and always fun, with excellent, locally sourced food. Good value too.

Cotswold 88
Our grand old Painswick Hotel has been “done up” and is now rather wacky and sleek inside but the menu is surprisingly straightforward and good value with many simple ingredients prepared beautifully.

Olivas. For spectacular sandwiches and luscious light lunches try Olivas Delicatessen. Ximena is an amazing cook and Brian has chosen superb wines. Open during the day but for Tapas in the evening.
Telephone 812774 to book.
The Woolpack, Slad. It takes about 1 hour to walk over Juniper Hill into Slad but this pub can't be missed during your stay in Painswick. Long slow evenings by the fireside in this magical place inspired 'Cider with Rosie' and other bucolic literary works by Laurie Lee. Drink in the views and a pint of "Old Spot" and fill up on earthy, robust cooking.
