Access Statement For St Anne’s Bed and Breakfast
Introduction
We aim to anticipate the needs of all our visitors in our 3 bedroom bed and breakfast. If you have any questions please do call us or email us.
Pre-
There is an hourly bus service from Cheltenham and from Stroud that runs during the day. The bus stop is 200 metres from our house.
Our nearest train station is in Stroud (4 miles). We can also arrange a friendly local taxi service to pick up or drop off.
All our bedrooms are on the first floor. Our website shows pictures of each one.
Painswick is a village with some steep and narrow streets. Walking from our house to the various places to eat out and shops can involve some moderate gradients, and some high and uneven pavements.
Arrival and Car parking
We do not have private parking at the house. Parking is on the street and often the driver needs to be able to reverse into tight parking places.
It is possible to park and unload directly outside the house. There is a narrow pavement from the road and 2 steps down into the entrance hall from the street. There is a light outside the front door.
Guide dogs are most welcome – although we prefer guests to use the Red Four Poster bedroom for dogs. Water bowls are available in the entrance hall and we also have a small terrier dog.
We are always happy to help with luggage, so please do ask.
We will always show you to your room.
Hall and dining room cum sitting area
The entrance hall is has lots of natural light and is stone tiled, there is a downstairs loo. The hall leads into the dining room cum sitting area. It is quite dark. It has smooth wooden floors and a log burning stove. The dining room table has 67cm of underspace and 2 pedestal legs. We have a mixture of chairs without arms and 2 carvers with arms. There is also a sofa.
We are a family run business and do not have staff but as we live in the Bed and Breakfast we are usually close at hand if needed.
We try to cater for all special diets. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten fee and dairy free.
We sometimes play background music or have the radio on during breakfast. Do ask if you would prefer to have this turned off.
Lighting
All our lights have eco friendly low energy bulbs except the dining room which has dimmable candle central and wall lighting.
Laundry
We offer a wash, dry and fold service at £10 per load.
